  [S3365] Correspondence: Paul Dowling, Facebook Message; Does anyone on theis group have links to Walter Allsopp in Rochdale, he was born in Worcester around 1860; 31 January 2025. {Walter Allsopp was my great grandfather and was born in 1851 in Crome Worcester. His parents were Thomas and Ann Allsopp. Walter moved to Rochdale and married Sarah Ann Fitton. Walter mainly worked as a coal miner in Rochdale and Yorkshire areas. My grandmother was called Eliza Jayne Allsopp. Her brother who was also called Walter Allsopp died in WWI. This was one of Walter's daughters she moved to New Zealand when her husband died in WWI .When Alice Ann Allsopp was born on 28 October 1884, in Alnwick, Northumberland, England, United Kingdom, her father, Walter Allsopp, was 33 and her mother, Sarah Ann Fitton, was 25. She married William Henry Egerton on 14 April 1906, in Rochdale, Lancashire, England. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. She lived in Milnrow, Lancashire, England in 1901 and Rochdale, Lancashire, England in 1911. She died on 29 June 1976, in Whanganui, New Zealand, at the age of 91.
